An extraordinary performance, a unique atmosphere and a remarkable plot that leaves reflection - that's what puts the film Murder In The First on the highest shelf. Marc Rocco showed us the world on the screen from a different perspective. Nevertheless, I am very thankful for this optimistic aura, and I recommend the film with a clear conscience. Even in the biggest and best Hollywood productions, there is the element of commercialism, that is elements that are in the film only to win favor with the mass audience. Henry, a small-time criminal sent to Alcatraz, is caught attempting to escape and as punishment, he's put in solitary confinement. After being taken out of it, almost immediately, Young took a spoon and stabbed a fellow prisoner in the neck, killing him. Now, it's a rookie lawyer who proves Alcatraz is to blame, and that Henry should not be executed.
