Rock the Kasbah is the stuff of legend. It is a pleasure for me to watch movie like Rock the Kasbah. An extraordinary performance, a unique atmosphere and a remarkable plot that leaves reflection - that's what puts the film Rock the Kasbah on the highest shelf. Barry Levinson showed us the world on the screen from a different perspective. Nevertheless, I am very thankful for this optimistic aura, and I recommend the film with a clear conscience. Even in the biggest and best Hollywood productions, there is the element of commercialism, that is elements that are in the film only to win favor with the mass audience. While visiting Kabul, Afghanistan, washed-up music manager Richie Lanz gets dumped by his last client. There Richie accidentally discovers a teenage girl with an extraordinary voice and takes her to Kabul to compete on the popular television show, Afghan Star.
